Description

Specifications

Power Adhesives Spraytec 425 spray hot melt adhesive is a high-performance, extended-open-time 43 mm hot melt adhesive formulated primarily for professional spray application. It bonds wood, fabrics, most plastics, some metals and concrete and is formulated to maximise adhesive delivery rate.

Spraytec 425, also identified in the technical data as Tecbond 425, is a synthetic polymer-based hot melt designed for fast, clean and reliable operation in TEC spray applicators. Its open time of up to 3 minutes provides additional time for positioning larger components before completing the bond.

The 43 mm format measures 1¾ × 1¾ in (approximately 43 × 43 mm). Carton quantity is 22 lb, approximately 10 kg, with approximately 8 adhesive pieces per pound.

The suggested application temperature is 350°F (approximately 177°C). Brookfield viscosity is 3000 cP at 350°F. The ring-and-ball softening point is 221°F (approximately 105°C), while heat resistance is 176°F (approximately 80°C). Low-temperature flexibility (Tg) is 5°F (approximately –15°C).

According to the manufacturer, the constituent parts of the adhesive comply with applicable FDA requirements under 21 CFR 175.105, subject to its stated limitations. This should not be interpreted as unrestricted approval for direct food contact.
