Power Adhesives Knottec Wood Knot Filler & Wood Repair Adhesive

Power Adhesives Knottec wood repair adhesive is a specialist wood knot filler developed for fast repair of knot defects, deep scratches and other localised wood damage. Knottec is suitable for professional woodworking and furniture production as well as general wood repair and hobby applications.

The Knottec Wood Repair System is suitable for repairing wooden doors, window frames, furniture and wood flooring. The repair material sets quickly and can be easily trimmed after setting before the repaired surface is sanded.

Knottec is available in 15 colour variants, making it possible to select a colour that closely matches the wood and helps make completed repairs less noticeable.

The application time is 15–30 seconds, with a specified application temperature of 160–215°C. The softening point is 115°C, while low-temperature resistance extends to –30°C. The material also provides high heat and chemical resistance.

Knottec is available in a 2.5 kg foil pack or a 5 kg carton containing 2 × 2.5 kg foil packs.

Applications & Usage

Knottec wood knot filler is designed for filling knot defects, deep scratches and other localised damage in wood. Typical applications include repairing wooden doors, window frames, furniture and wood flooring.

The material is applied to the damaged area using a suitable Knottec wood repair hot melt applicator at 160–215°C. After setting, excess repair material can be trimmed and the repaired area sanded to achieve the required finish.

The choice of 15 colours allows the repair material to be matched more closely to the wood being repaired.
