Eurovent DS BLAU vapour barrier foil is a high-resistance vapour control membrane designed to limit water vapour migration from inside a building into thermal insulation and roof, wall and ceiling structures. With an Sd value of approximately 100 m, it provides a highly vapour-resistant layer for building envelope applications.

Eurovent DS BLAU helps protect thermal insulation against excessive moisture ingress and reduces the risk of condensation within building structures. Its high tear resistance supports durability and makes installation easier.

The foil has a thickness of approximately 0.20 mm. Each roll measures 2 × 50 m, providing 100 m² of material. The product has a reaction to fire classification E, UV resistance of 2 months and is watertight at 2 kPa.

Applications & Usage

Eurovent DS BLAU vapour barrier foil is designed for installation on the interior side of insulated building structures to limit the movement of water vapour into thermal insulation and construction layers.

Suitable applications include:

The foil can be installed parallel or perpendicular to rafters, directly on the thermal insulation.

To create an airtight vapour barrier layer, overlaps and connections must be properly sealed. Eurovent UNISAN and Eurovent DUO are recommended for sealing membrane overlaps. Eurovent UNO is recommended for sealing connections between the foil and structural elements.
