Power Adhesives Tecbond 342 hot glue sticks 12 mm are very high-tack EVA hot melt adhesive sticks engineered for fast bonding of difficult substrates with high memory or spring-back. The white adhesive bonds paper, cardboard and wood and is particularly suitable for triwall and other stiff board packaging applications.

Tecbond 342 is supplied in a 12 mm (1/2") hot glue stick format with a 10-second open time. Its very high molten and initial tack helps secure materials quickly and reduces the time components need to be held in position.

The application temperature is 195°C, with a viscosity of 8,500 cP at 180°C. The softening point is 100°C, heat resistance is 75°C, and the stated low-temperature value is 10°C.

The white formulation provides a clean appearance for visible applications such as cable attachment. In addition to packaging, Tecbond 342 is suitable for electrical applications, cable attachment, sensors and CCTV installation, and bonding associated with trunking and junction boxes.

The adhesive complies with FDA 175.105 for indirect food contact. Package weight is 5.5 kg.

Applications & Usage

Tecbond 342 hot melt adhesive is designed for applications where the bonded material is stiff or has significant spring-back. Its very high initial tack and 10-second open time help secure these materials rapidly.

For packaging, the adhesive is suitable for carton closing, bonding triwall and other stiff boards, and tray assembly. In electrical and installation work, it can be used for cable attachment and suitable bonding applications involving sensors, CCTV equipment, trunking and junction boxes.

The 12 mm hot glue sticks are used with a compatible high-temperature 12 mm hot melt glue gun or applicator.
